The Skyline sedan was offered for sale in 2006 with modification to the Skyline coupe in early 2007. There were three different models offered by the 2007 Skyline such as the 250GT, 250GT FOUR, and 350GT. It was first offered as a 4-door sedan in Japan and was also made available in the United States as the Infiniti G35 2007 model year. In 2008, Nissan revealed that a convertible model of the Infiniti G37 will be manufactured for the 2009 model year. This convertible model was not offered for sale in Japan.

The interior is designed with a new center stack and an all new dashboard. It is finished with aluminum trim inspired by the Washi known as the traditional Japanese rice paper while the wood trim that is offered as an option is made of bubinga. The buttons and dials are designed ergonomically for an easy-to-access functions, producing a polished tactile feel. The seats are designed in a sporty fashion while the dashboard feels very driver-centric. The interior has better adjustments for the seats as well as the steering wheels. In 2010 the Nissan skyline was updated with a seven-speed automatic transmission with an option of 2-wheel drive Skyline Sedan along with V6 engine. The color-range of Nissan skyline sedan was extended to 6 with the inclusion of Vibrant Red (solid) and new Dark Metal Grey (metallic). The instrument panel has been enhanced with the white illumination for the visible vehicle information. Along with making lettering for tachometer and speedometer standardized.

Safety
